Frequently Asked Questions
Where is my order?
Once the order is moved from processing to shipping you will receive an email with your tracking information. Once it has shipped, we have no control of what happens next. Ground shipping can take 2-3 days. USPS has been running very slow. International orders are typically in transit for 10-14 days.
I didn’t receive a tracking number.
Tracking information is automatically sent once the order is fulfilled. If you do not receive a tracking number, check to make sure it didn’t go to your junk mail folder. If it’s not there either email us at info@empireinks.com and we will get it to you.
My item arrived damaged, now what?
If damage to your order has occurred, we ask that you take a picture of the damaged item and its packaging. You must notify us within ten business days of the package being delivered. If you do not notify us in said time, damaged products become non-replaceable.
How do returns work?
Buyer has 30 days to return items. If after 30 days, we can’t give a refund. To be eligible for return, the item must be unused and in same condition you received it in.
How long does it take for the refund credit to show up in my account?
After a refund is given, you will receive an email letting you know the refund has been processed. It can take 5-10 business days. Check with your credit card company to see if the refund has posted.
How long will shipping take?
Depending on where you live and which shipping method is chosen, the time it takes to reach you may vary.
How long does processing time take?
Orders are processed weekdays; we do not ship Saturdays or Sundays. Orders received after 12:00 p.m. CT may be processed the next shipping day.
How do I become part of Team Empire?
Team Empire is a carefully chosen group of like-minded artists. To be considered to be a member of our team, we ask that you tag us #empireinks with each of your tattoo posts. We check IG daily and if we like your work, you will be invited to join our team!
What is the difference between whitewash and graywash?
Graywash is black that has been cut with clear to a lighter value. Whitewash is the same thing but has a little bit of white added, it’s not an opaque white, just a small amount of white added to it. (Note what the label says on bottle as far as opaque or semi-transparent)
What ink is the darkest?
Classic Black or Ivory black depending on the skin tone it's being applied on. Classic Black is a cooler tone.
How does the ink heal?
Depending on your application, if your hand movement and machine movement is slow it heals true to how it is fresh, if your hand and machine movement is fast, it heals lighter overall.
